In 2007 and 2008, the Image Campaign involved the historic Erie Railroad Co., Inc. v. Tompkins United States Supreme Court case – the most famous national case to originate in Luzerne County, and one of the most successful programs in the history of the organized legal profession.

Since 2009, the formal Image Campaign has evolved into a full justice administration improvement initiative, as the W-BLLA has shifted its resources to undertake several positive steps in improving the local criminal justice system in Luzerne County, including the juvenile process.

Over the years, the Association has received several statewide awards and praise for its efforts. And, the Local Bar continues to be nationally recognized as a leader in the legal field.
